Raise your glass and share a toast!

I was alerted about a new design being offered from Hula Island for the wedding couple. These new "shooter" glasses are handcrafted in San Francisco, California by Artist Kathryn Gooding and Asta Glass! They retail for $39.95 (but you can get a 10% discount by using code Sandy Toes until 04/18/2011)

I like the idea of having something personal - like hand painted flutes and they also make nice gifts for your girls - especially as a thank you for hosting the girls night out!

For your girls! I loved the Black and White damask design on these martini glasses. You can also choose different glasses (wine, margarita, etc)

Etsy seller Pastinshs has some really lovely hand painted flutes! Her designs are beautiful and I bet if you sent her a picture of your dress (and you and the hubs-to-be) she could make them look just like you!

Creative DIY Wedding Invite

Meet Larissa and Trevor (who were married July 18, 2010). They are a creative duo - both professionally and personally - that own Ambient Studios. Based in Toronto, Ontario Canada they photograph weddings together locally and on location.

Image by the talented Davina+Daniel of Montreal.

So, when two creative people, who photograph weddings, get married you probably already know that something unique will be happening...and you're right! I stumbled upon their wedding invitation and I was totally taken with their creativity!

Not only are these completely unique, they are earth friendly! Sent in recycled brown paper envelopes, wrapped in recycled brown paper. The canisters themselves could also be made using recycled canisters however, Larissa used re-useable canisters which are specifically made for photographers who shoot with film and load their own 35mm bulk film.

A few little details written on the outside give guests a hint of what's inside....and then the little teaser "pull"

Pull the tab and you get all the information about the wedding!

Completely amazing and unique, right?! I love them. There are always things out there that can ignite a spark in your own creativity and how you can make your wedding unique to you as a couple. Larissa and Trevor proved that! Amazing job guys! This is just the tip of the iceberg! Imagine them photographing your wedding! You will get the same inspiration and creativity in their work! Pretty cool, huh? But, if you love them and want to book them....you will have to wait! Currently, they are both traveling for a year....taking photographs in places most of us only dream about! You can check out their blog and keep up to date with them here!

DIY Invitations

Calling all brides (or anyone) who wants to make their own invitations! Let me introduce you to Paper Presentations - a company based out of New York but, they ship anywhere. I found everything you need to create your own party invitations here - all at reasonable prices.

INVITATIONS
These Pocket Fold invitations come in 9 sizes, 30 pattern colors and 60 solid colors! Prices start at $14.50 for a pack of 10

A little modern twist to the standard pocket folds. This design comes in 5 sizes and prices start at $15.90 for a set of 10. Remember, this is just for the outer envelope! All other pieces are sold separately.

A very simple invitation holder that makes a bold impression - this is called the Pochette. It is available in 4 sizes. The 5x7 size starts at $12.90 for plain colored paper and $16.90 for pattern paper (in sets of 10)

I love the layered invitation look. It's elegant and easy. These are perfect for invitations or you can use multiple sizes of paper to tie up for your wedding programs as well. They come in the 2 sizes shown and you can embellish with your own ribbon (suggested ribbon size is 3/8").

This company has too many goodies to list! You will find favor boxes, ribbons, envelopes, belly bands and so many other products to make invitations yourself. You can also download their entire catalog in PDF format (which makes looking at everything easier) and on their website you will find templates to download as well!
