Planning A Wedding Abroad

By Sarah McCathy

Destination: Have a concrete idea about where you would like to tie the knot and decide on your ultimate wedding destination. It is impossible to plan further without having a clear idea of the exact country location.

Legal Issues: Once you have selected a location, it is important make sure you have a good understanding of all the legalities associated with getting married in that particular country. Once you have booked your wedding, you don't want to be stuck with legal documentation issues.

Visa Requirements: Ensure you have complete information and details regarding Visa requirements and documentation. This is important for both you and your partner in your chosen location, as well as ensuring that guests are able to obtain visas and therefore attend your wedding. Check this out prior to booking and paying for your wedding. Consult your guests as well as far ahead as possible.

Budget: Ensure that you have come up with an accurate budget, including accommodation costs, air fares and other fees. It is also important that you also have this conversation with your guests and come to an agreement about who is paying for what, or in other words, what you are going to cover and what they are willing to pay for themselves. Try and do this in advance to give guests time to budget for the trip abroad and plan for leave, flights and accommodation.

Make the Booking: Once the logistics, guest number and budget details have been sorted out, aim to book your wedding abroad as soon as possible. The quicker you book, the better deals you will be able to find and the better prepared you will be on the big day, as you will have left yourself enough time to plan and liaise with your wedding coordinator and venue staff.

Sit Back, Relax and Enjoy: All the preplanning and organization will be well worth it when the wedding date comes around. It will mean you can truly relax while your big day takes place in your dream location, and after all, isn't that what a wedding abroad is all about in any case?

4 Elegant Qualities of Celebrity Weddings You Can Use

By Aaron Hu

What sets a celebrity wedding from the thousands if not millions of smaller weddings that go on in the United States? Money is an obvious answer, but it is not the complete story. It is also how money is spent that sets apart the weddings of the rich and famous. The interesting thing about weddings is that many of the innovations that are now commonplace were passed down from the rich. For example, wedding favors were a French innovation that was done at the ceremonies of rich French nobles. So even if they are on a whole different level, celebrity weddings have some interesting features that even the average bride can incorporate into her own nuptials. Here are some examples.

Many high end marriage ceremonies for the rich and famous are held at exclusive and unique locations. Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie at a Scottish castle. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston got married at a secluded estate in southern California. Each of these locations was exotic or exclusive. The way that you, the average bride, can do the same is finding an interesting location in your area. It may be at a vineyard, at a golf resort, or at a well known hotel. An innovative idea is to have the honeymoon and the ceremony at the same location.

Food is another hallmark of a high end wedding. Many celebrities hire the services of famous chefs for their weddings. You may know some of them from television. These are chefs that have best seller recipe books, are often seen on the Food Network, and cook for some of the most rich and well known individuals on the planet. The key advantage of having such well known chefs is high quality dishes and personalized menus. While you may not be able to do something on the same level, there are some things that you can do if you have the budget for it. For example, have a well known hotel in your area cater the reception. You get many of the same advantages at a much more affordable price.

Entertainment is also another major factor. Many celebrities are either able to pull strings with fellow entertainers or afford their high appearance fees. For example, a Russian billionaire once paid Christina Aguilera $2 million to sing at his wedding. Donald Trump, who is known for doing most things lavishly, had a full orchestra to serenade his guests at his wedding to Melania Knauss. So when you think about entertainment for your reception, try to break the mold and have something other than a DJ.

When you talk about high end marriage ceremonies and receptions, you also have to talk about the wedding favors and gift bags. When a well known personality gives gifts, they are substantial. It may be something like jewelry, perfume, makeup, electronic devices, or edible favors from exclusive restaurants. The point is that they give a gift that no one would sneeze at. So when you are deciding what gifts to give, consider several gifts. Also if you can give inexpensive but quality make up or electronics, that will be a definite plus. You should also group smaller gifts together in gift bags. This will definitely make a great impression on your guests without having to spend the same amount as a celebrity.

Wedding Gift Ideas To Inspire You

By Robbie Keane

While looking for just the right gifts for weddings, keep in mind what you know about the couple. Choose something that you know will match their taste, encourage their hobbies, or will remind them both of good times that you have enjoyed with them. If you put your heart into what you get them, the chances are that it will be ideal.

Start with their bridal registry. If you do not know the couple very well, picking an item from there can be the easiest way to go. If you do opt for purchasing from it, try to pool money with others so as to get a single, bigger, more unforgettable gift, as opposed to buying cheaper gifts individually.

Even if you prefer to select a more special gift, browse through the bridal registry to get inspiration. It is an easy way to better know the bride and grooms wants and needs. For instance, if they have requested a corkscrew and an ice bucket, this would let you know that entertaining is something that the bride and groom enjoy. With that knowledge you could then get them something related that is more personal, such as a rare bottle of wine.

Another source of inspiration is their pastimes and hobbies. If you know that the bride and groom love to travel, an ideal gift could be a high-end luggage set. Gifts are not required to be objects either. If the couple share a passion for a sports team, then a pair of tickets to a game would be a personal and appreciated gift.

Wherever you inspiration comes from, luxuriousness is preferable for gifts for weddings. Even if choosing a practical gift, try to find an item that is of a higher quality than what the couple would purchase for themselves. In fact, everyday luxuries are often the best kind.

7 Exciting Bridal Shower Games

By Aaron Hu

The Bridal shower is an integral part of the wedding celebrations. It is also quite an old tradition. The Bridal Shower was a way for a girl who, in the old days, didn't have a dowry due to poverty or a disapproving parent, to get all the things she needed to start her married life. The tradition evolved and has become a part of the normal celebrations. Another tradition is that games are played at the shower. Here are some great games that can be played at your shower.

The first game is Newlywed Trivia. Have guests play a game where their knowledge of the groom and bride will allow them to win fabulous prizes. The game can be done in several ways. One is to model it after Who Wants to be a Millionaire. You can also do the game based on Jeopardy and give gifts ranked on the number of points earned. You can also use the model for games like Family Feud and use polled answers.

Have a Honeymoon relay game. The Honeymoon is the vacation the newlywed couple goes on as husband and wife. Honeymoon relay relies on each player performing an action of preparing for the Honeymoon. The final player has to pack a suitcase and wear what is packed. This will not only build up the group but also be a great photo opportunity.

Another game that can be played is Celebrity Couples. The idea is simple. You come up with a list of famous couples. You then give everyone a list with the names of one half of each couple. It is then the job of the guest to complete each couple. The person or group with the most correctly guessed couples wins. You can play the game individually or in teams.

A traditional favorite is Bridal Bingo. Each guest receives a bingo sheet with wedding words on it. The caller, who will likely be the maid of honor, will call out randomly chosen words. The first person to complete a row and call out bingo will be the winner. If you don't want to make the bingo cards yourself, there are many companies online that offer them. You can even find cards that can be customized to your preferences.

The Bling Bling Game is another exciting game that you can play. Each person receives a fake diamond ring when they arrive at the Bridal Shower. When everyone has received a ring and settles themselves, have everyone twist the jewel in their rings. The person whose ring flashes after they twist it will be declared the winner and get a great prize.

One game that all your guests will adore is Bridal Dirty Dice. For this game the rules are simple. There will be a pile of fine wedding gifts and favors. Everyone will roll the dice. If doubles are rolled the person who rolled it can get a gift. If the person gets doubles again they can steal from another member. If they get double sixes then even a stolen gift can't be stolen.

You can also play bridal charades. In this game players have to guess wedding words due to the pantomiming of their teammates. The game is easy for everyone to play. They just need to be particularly adept at nonverbal communication.

What Is Destination Wedding Photography?

By Devin Zuberg

Planning your destination wedding photography should be done at the same time as you plan where you are heading for your wedding. Find the right person who will provide you with quality photos that you will be able to enjoy for years after.

One of the most important things you will be able to do is require not only a list of references, but looking at past photos they have taken. Not just any photos, but ones they have taken for other people's weddings. Don't let your experience be like many other people who haven't checked references and end up with pictures that are horrible and not near worth what they cost to have done.

Getting a person who is located at the destination you are planning to have your wedding may be a very good idea. That way you will not need to provide the cost of a plane ticket for them to get to the location. Ending up paying a little bit of money towards travel expenses isn't a bad deal. But setting up the use of a photographer from your home town will cost you a plane ticket and more money.

Even consider looking online to see if any of the package deals for weddings at a destination will offer you photos in your price range. But some people will still opt to find a separate photographer to take other pictures too.

See what that photographer has in mind for some pictures. After all, they are the professionals, and if they have done it before you will be able to tell by talking to them. Someone who can't answer you with a few ideas, may not be the choice of someone you want taking those photographs.

A wedding day is something that you will want to remember for years after. Not only that but good wedding destination photography will elicit memories of just how the day was, allowing you and your spouse, and later on your children, to share through those pictures the happy moments.

Stating yet again how important it is that you check out the reputation of the photographer you are hiring. It's something that you are not going to have a second chance at. You need them to have these pictures done the first time correctly. It's not like you can bring everyone back a few months later to take the pictures again.

After all, if they don't have enough experience, those pictures that you're looking at later on, just won't be the same. Good photographers will bring something extra to the picture, an added value that can be well worth the cost of their service.

You may end up paying a bit more money for someone who's had a lot of experience. But the phrase "you get what you pay for" is something to keep in mind. Good photographs of your wedding are worth paying a bit more for.

Get your wedding all set up including your photographer, and head off to that destination of your choice. Be it Las Vegas or somewhere in Europe, have a wonderful day and make sure those pictures are ones that are beautiful!

Wedding Ring Symbolism: Learn the History

By Kim Allarie

Different cultures around the world offer varying insight into wedding ring symbolism. During history, the wedding ring has represented different notions while maintaining a rather typical theme. The circle of the ring is continuous, meant to be without a single seam. This represents the continuous nature of marriage, vows, and love.

There have been times throughout history, in varying cultures, where the woman accepted the ring as a sign of being owned. Her need to remain committed to the vows was believed to be greater than a man's need to remain true to the wedding vows. Infractions, in principle, could lead to death for a woman.

Throughout history there has been magical significance associated with the wearing of rings. They were once thought to have protective or magical powers of protection for anyone who wore them. Blessing them or chanting and canting were considered to impart an additional protective force. In conventional wedding ceremonies of nearly all denominations the rings are blessed before they are exchanged. This tradition dates back to the days when the rings offered protection.

Why do we place a wedding ring on the left hand? Why do we wear it on the third finger? Not all traditions agree with this idea and there are a lot of cultures that wear the wedding ring on the right hand. The basis of such a custom can be traced back to Ancient Rome. The Romans were certain that this finger contained a specified artery that ran uninterrupted from the hand to the heart. This artery was believed to be only in the third finger of the left hand.

During history the left hand was not a fighting hand. The right hand could be used to draw a sword, and later a gun. The left hand was considered to be the hand that denoted a peaceful motion, and thereby could be depended on when it moved rapidly or wildly. While this notion has passed with time for progressive societies, there are still societies that hold fast to the opinion that the left hand is weaker and not as adroit.

The ring itself is typically rather plain, although Celtic customs require a finely adorned ring that's attentively and personally decorated. The basic nature of the wedding ring is believed to have its origins in universal understanding. In contrast to other rings, which can be worn simply for beauty, a simple band would be a symbol recognized everywhere and by everybody.

Throughout world history and world cultures the wedding ring provides protection and announces the marriage in plain and clear language. There's no need for explanation when a wedding ring is in sight. This has helped keep the symbolism of the wedding ring alive and flourishing.

3. Wedding Baubles - One thoughtful idea is to buy a personalized bauble for the couple's Christmas tree. Bestowing Amazing Wedding Favors

By David Trumble

A wedding favor is a gift given by a bride and/or groom to their wedding party and close friends who have helped make their wedding a blessed event.

Cost is often an issue, since there are so many expenses associated with weddings, left over cash may be quite limited. The temptation may be too cheap out or give mediocre wedding favors.

This does not have to be true in your case, however, because there are so many choices when selecting or even creating your wedding favors. You may even be able to make a memorable statement with a bit of creative generosity.

The old adage says, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." When it comes to giving the right wedding favors this is right on the money. It is essential that you think ahead, plan ahead, and make your choices in advance. Then you can give your wedding favors with confidence. You will feel blessed and your attendants will feel appreciated.

How much you spend is up to you and your pocketbook. If you open up your pocketbook after you have just emptied it, there is nothing left. On the other hand, if you diligently budget your funds and set aside specific funds for your wedding favors; the money will be there.

Search the web for wedding stores like weddinghow.weddingstar.com or others. There are many choices available so explore. Look for the unique. Consider the costs. Think about how your favors may be received.

Some of the easy choices that you may find during your search are what I call nick knacks or figurines. These are fantastic. You can find almost anything you can imagine: cars, animals, people in costume or with small signs, bells, you name it.

Gift candles are another intriguing choice. They too come in all manner of shape, size, and style. You can find gift candles in decorative holders. Floating candles are popular. Look for candles that in some way express your relationships, passions, or interests. If you have a theme wedding, consider candles that would reflect your theme.

Sometimes the presentation is half the gift. By that I mean, packaging, wrapping, and the box itself can be a big part of the gift. Ribbons, decorative wrappers, and decorative trinkets like bells can turn an ordinary gift into something truly amazing.

Your attendants would love a personally created memento hand crafted just for them. They would treasure it for years because you made it. If you have special skills or hobbies, this may be a great option.

Giving yourself makes an impressive gift. For example, Donna was an avid sewer who designed and sewed each of her attendants' gowns for her wedding including her own. This was much more that a trinket.

Your wedding favors may also include items such as edible treats, distinctive glassware, music CDs, bells, frames, coasters, pens, or a thousand other similar items.

Theme weddings can make choosing wedding favors even easier. All you have to do is zero in on favors that reflect the theme. A porcelain castle would be great for a Medieval Themed wedding. A ship figurine would work for an ocean theme.

Do not wait until the last minute. Think ahead. Plan ahead. Buy ahead. The stresses will ease and you will be excited to give your wedding favors. Plan right not to start exploring the internet for all the wedding resources you need.

Wedding Caterers Essex

By David Smith

It's key to choose exactly the right caterer for your wedding, because this is the biggest day in most people's lives and the food must be be better than excellent. If you don't plan well enough to give your guests great food, when your wedding rolls around it will be even more stressful than your first imagined. That's why you must do your homework and select a high quality wedding catering service well before time, so they can organize all the food and take that extra hassle off your shoulders.I certainly did my homework when searching for wedding caterers essex in my local area some three months before our wedding day.

Of course, wedding caterers come in all shapes and sizes, and provide food and services of varying quality. So what's the best way to select the right caterer? A good idea is to do your research on a wide selection of possible providers within your area, doing an online search for a list of firms in your locality. For instance, an online search for wedding caterers essex in my locality helped me find loads of promising firms. I then visited the website of each caterer to assess the quality of their presentation, what they had to offer and to see how approachable they appeared to be.

From this wide list of maybe 20 catering companies, I then phoned around to check up on how efficient they sounded and how quickly they answered the phone. After all, if they can't present themselves in an efficient manner at the first point of contact, then how good are they really going to be when the pressure is on to do your wedding catering?

From this process of seeking wedding caterers essex in my example, we then selected the foremost 3 companies and did some more detailed homework into their service standards, food quality and pricing. Request from your best 3 if you can have a quick chat with some of their existing customers to see what other people thought of their service, then select your winning caterer for their ability to do the best job and easiness to work with, having thoroughly done your research.

In short, if you follow this advice, you're sure to enjoy a memorable wedding day with top quality food that lives long in the memory.

Choosing a casual style easily flowing chiffon dress is one of the most popular ideas.

A Boho Chic is a free flowing dress is absolutely perfect for summer and spring weddings. The bridesmaid would look like a hot chic when combined with some flower sort of headband.

A dress which can be worn on a wedding occasion in the church is a perfect Sunday casual for a striking bridesmaid. A small floral print or a blend of chiffon and satin layers will give a perfect bridesmaid casual look. You can choose a flirty, short and a fun type bridesmaid outfit for the occasion. It will give a stunning look with some of the seen body parts. You can opt for this kind of a dress for a wedding party during summer or spring.

In formal outfits a fabric like chiffon is only used to add flavor to the outfit. These formals look elegant with an added layer of chiffon, a little of embroidery like sequence, beads or some traditional embroidery. This can add glamour to the outfit giving it a trendy look. Choosing a gown with a bit of shimmer and long layers of chiffon will give a lovely princess glow.

Many bridesmaids and brides choose the traditional Cinderella kind freely flowing gowns. These gowns have different chiffon layers with a combination of satins or rayon. Some styles are with halter style necklines and some of them prefer a strapless top to add style to the outfit. This kind of a dress gives a classy look and adds a sparkle to the bridesmaid who is wearing it.

If the lady is comfortable to carry any style of an outfit gracefully, then she can anytime go for a tight wrapped chiffon outfit which shows off the body shape. To look out for an outfit like this one needs to have a well maintained body figure and a graceful look to carry it out.

True Confessions of a 3 Dress Bride (Part 3)

I was going to save my final confession for another day but find myself wanting to share so many things that I figured while I am on a roll I should just finish it up now! While this blog is about BRIDAL GOWNS I have so many ideas, thoughts and things I want to share I just need to finish this little true confession so I can move onto other things!

The conclusion of my confession....

So, I now have 2 bridal gowns and honestly was not shopping for a third (do you believe me?). I saw a picture of a gown that was NOTHING like I thought I would want! It was the Capri Marie from Maggie Sottero. First of all, I did not want a strapless wedding gown!! How could I fall in love with another strapless gown? Secondly, I had never tried it on. I know so many brides (engaged and now married) that say I have to try on a gown before I know it's "me". I have to disagree. I saw a picture of this gown and just knew it would be perfect. Keep in mind, I am the person who has seen 1000's of dresses, how is it possible for one to make me feel this way? I don't have the answer to that....women are born with this intuition and my radar was going off on this dress. I ordered it and the day it came in and I tried it on for the first time - I cried!! I couldn't believe how amazing I felt in it. Now, I had a huge dilemma! I had 3 wedding dresses! I knew I couldn't wear all three...that would just be crazy! But, I could still narrow it down to a Ceremony Gown and a Reception Gown. I decided the Capri Marie would be my Ceremony Gown and the tea length gown was still my only choice for the Reception Gown. How to incorporate the sleeves I so loved on my first gown? Well, I took the advice of my seamstress and we added them to the Reception Gown. The result? Perfect! I was able to bring together all three of the gowns I loved and I was finally a happy bride! :)

True Confessions of a 3 Dress Bride (Part 2)

So, I had purchased my first dress and was pretty excited until the Spring season hit. The bridal industry has 2 seasons: Spring and Fall. With that came a new round of dresses! Uh oh. The new "trend" in wedding gowns was a tea length gown. I fell in love with several of them and started wondering how I could incorporate one of them into my wedding! The thought occurred to me - did I REALLY want to wear a heavy gown through- out the day and evening? Well, that answer was easy: no! So, I purchased my 2nd gown, which I called my "Reception Gown." It was Alfred Angelo, style 1947. The only problem I had was I really did not want a strapless gown! Once the gown came in though I loved it! It was so cute and I felt so "free" from the trappings of a full ball gown bridal dress. After all, how many times do you actually run around in an extra 5 pounds of dress? So I started talks with my seamstress about how we could handle this strapless situation and we determined I could either add sleeves to the gown or get a shawl. Both very good options!

Only The Best In Hair And Beauty!

By Isidora Welch

Let's face it: when you are truly happy about your appearance, you are better prepared to deal with everything that life is likely to throw at you. This is especially true when it comes to special occasions. That's where a professional hair and beauty salon showcases its true ability.

It is extremely important to keep in mind some points when you are selecting a beauty salon.

The staff in the salon must be professional and experienced. If you are going to trust your appearance to someone, you must be able to have confidence in their ability to care for your hair and complexion. Fortunately, the majority of beauty salons only employ experts who possess the knowledge as to how to make you look good and feel good, too.

The staff must also care about you as an individual. There is an adage that "beauty is not only skin deep". This is true: when you visit a beauty salon, all of you should feel pampered. No matter how skillful a technician is, if they do not possess a friendly demeanor, they will not be entirely successful at their job: and you won't feel the full benefits of the visit.

You should consider that your visit to the beauty salon was value for money. This doesn't mean "bargain basement" prices. However, you personally have to believe that the visit has been worthwhile.

There should be a variety of products and services on offer. In our time-poor society, it is good to know that you can make an appointment into a hair and beauty salon and in a number of hours you are fully restored, literally from head to foot. This could include hair styling, facials, waxing, massage - the beauty treatments Peterborough list should be considerable. The products used by the technicians should also be able to be purchased by you for you to use at home between visits to maintain the look.

Wedding Woes!

When any special occasions crop up in our lives, such as a wedding, we need to know that our salon can provide us with the very best service.

Your wedding is one day where appearance is everything and where it is vital that everything is picture perfect. Talented technicians at the best beauty salons have the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to perfect your look, regardless of the weather conditions. Certainly, you have the style required to decide upon the most beautiful gown and accessories and you naturally will listen to advice from family and friends, but it is wise to trust your hair and makeup to a professional. They will know from experience which look works best for your chosen style of gown and headwear, as well as for the season and venue.

Some brides even choose to have a "practice" run, just to be absolutely sure that style they have set their heart on has them looking their best.

It is also a good idea to consider a series of treatment visits prior to the wedding, so that your hair and complexion are at their healthiest and that you are glowing. Beautiful makeup and hair dressing looks the best when the skin and hair are well prepared.

If you are fortunate to live in or around Peterborough, then you don't have to look any further than Antony James Hair and Beauty. This salon has the necessary expertise and is equipped with everything that will ensure that the bride has the best experience ever and that every one of her make up and hair styling dreams are realized. Recent renovations in the salon have created an atmosphere that is unsurpassed.

Take the time to arrange a consultation with one of the friendly staff at Antony James Hair and Beauty about your beauty requirements.

Wedding Photography - Tips On How To Save Money

By Reynan Shaw

Wedding photos are the symbol of a once in a lifetime event, and most brides are reluctant to cut costs in this area. While we feel reluctant to offer cost-saving tips on your wedding photos, the cost of professional wedding photography means that today not everyone can afford these services.

There are some answers here for the budget minded bride on how to save cash on your wedding pictures:

1. Find a member of the family or acquaintance who is a photographer. You are almost sure to find somebody who enjoys photography and has pretty good camera gear. See if you can find a relative who is a pretty good photographer, and request their assistance. You will find that folks are happy to assist with weddings, and you can conserve on wedding expenses by employing their help. If you do find someone, be sure you get together with them prior to the event to talk about any specific shots that you want.

(2) Check with your local college or university for a photography student. They will love to have an opportunity to work an event and have something to put in their portfolio. Sure they are amateurs, but that means they will have a different view and will bring new creative ideas to give you some unique photos.

3. Providing your attendees with single-use cameras is another alternative. At every table, provide a themed single-use camera in order for attendees to snap pictures. You'll get pictures taken from a variety of viewpoints, and you can select your favorites. Appoint a single person to collect the cameras and have the pictures brought in for developing.

(4) If you must have a professional do the job, shop around and contact several photographers for quotes. Tell them you are trying to stay to a strict budget and see what they can do for you. You may well be pleasantly surprised by their reaction. Cutting back on the amount of photos taken will also help you stay within your photo budget.

Wedding Ceremony Choices

By Geraldine Dimarco

Wedding ceremony decorations may vary depending upon the type of wedding ceremony you choose. Likewise the wedding ceremony music. You may even want to consider wedding ceremony readings, particularly if your ceremony will be religiously based, as so many are. A wedding is a legal ceremony that commences a union between two people. Whilst the ceremony may occur in a church or other religious place the marriage is not recognized until the legal duties are performed. The marriage certificate must be signed at the end of the service for the law to legitimize the couple's relationship.

Getting Married in a Church

There are many factors that can affect a wedding tradition and those of religion, race and social class for example, can make it very complicated. Many people, whether religious or not, still prefer to have a traditional ceremony performed by a recognized religious minister in a Church of their choice. Of course we all know and love the white wedding but this is not the generally accepted form of ceremony in every Christian country.

Twin Ceremonies

A different type occasion often difficult to arrange is where two couples are married simultaneously; this often happens where a person has a brother or sister that decides to tie the knot at the same time and it is not unheard of for two brothers to marry two sisters this way.

Foreign Resort Weddings

A destination wedding is where the engaged couple and often guests travel to attend the ceremony - as a wedding option it can work out considerably less expensive this way, since wedding ceremony decorations, wedding ceremony music and even wedding guests can be kept to a minimum.

Weekend Weddings

Whilst it is quite normal for the Irish to have three day weddings, more couples are taking the hint and having theirs over a weekend which gives them more time to enjoy the occasion. Themed occasions can involve golf, hang-gliding, shooting or any type of venue you can imagine. This is quite a good idea especially if the bride and groom have similar interests as both they and their guests can stay at the same location.

Getting Married Online

Internet weddings seem to be something that has come about recently and a number of people are now using this method to seal their vows; There are already a number of companies based online can help you find out more information about this unusual type of ceremony. This can prove a useful tool where relatives and friends from around the world can see an online wedding take place in real time without actually being there!

Civil Weddings

Elected and appointed officials can carry out a marriage ceremony which is usually called a civil wedding. These ceremonies do not normally make any reference to God as they are a legal ceremony only. Owing to the brevity of these ceremonies, the persons getting married do not mind if they are carried out in a city hall or even a courtroom.

If you live in a Christian country then you will recognize many of these wedding traditions but there are many more types of ceremony available around the world, and wedding ceremony music and wedding ceremony decorations may be important, or they may not.

Choosing Engagement Rings And Wedding Rings

By Adriana Noton

The topic of engagement rings and wedding rings can be as varied as the number of people who are discussing and or purchasing them. With that already said a few facts remain... These touch on the quality, and traditional meaning.

Traditionally in western cultures, rings are symbols. The engagement ring is a token from a male to a female to honor a promise of marriage being accepted. These vary in value and quality drastically, and always have. The ring is representative the formal commitment of both parties having made a pledge of marriage to one another.

Choosing of the engagement ring has changed over time. In past times, the hopeful groom would make the choice in material as well as design, and purchase it prior to the request or proposal being made. In more recent decades this has been edging toward a more combined decision. The hopeful bride has far more input in the ring choices now than previously in our society. Engagement rings and wedding rings have become a joint decision more and more often.

The options of materials and styles of engagement rings and wedding rings have become more varied of late. Traditional materials of gold and silver are of course still very popular, but recently modern metal combinations such as stainless steel, titanium, and even tungsten carbide are being chosen. These choices have broadened price variances more than ever before.

Gemstones in engagement rings and wedding rings also have varied more and more with recent markets and possibilities becoming available. Though the usual stones like diamond remain as standard, the landscape of design allows for even the man made gems such as cubic zirconium to be used. Stones like rubies, sapphire, and emerald are also used.

In the early twentieth century the De Beers company, (as part of a marketing campaign) set the marker of three months salary as the standard point to purchase engagement rings and wedding rings. As the largest seller in the world, this raised sales in diamonds to the masses as well as changed the company's income as well! This standard has remained to this day as the way to begin to set personal pricing parameters for engagement rings.

Engagement rings and wedding rings have definitely expanded themselves from traditional view. Wedding rings once relegated to simple plain bands have taken on as many different faces as engagement rings have. Combinations of metals, stones set into them, engraving, and even gimmal or puzzle rings all have become common place items. These rings have become as individual as the relationships they represent.

The sky is the limit in your selection of engagement rings and wedding rings. Go ahead and let your imagination take you where it will, and allow the emotion of the relationship to show through in this very personal and inspired display of commitment to one another. The wide expanse of choices is a great release of creativity you can share with an important someone in your life.

Meaning And Symbolism Of Wearing Claddagh Rings

By Leigh Campbell

The design of claddagh rings has indeed a very romantic beginning that nothing in the history of jewelry has ever brought forth. These most symbolic finger accessories are truly of deep significance. A piece worn by a man or woman always draws out a symbolism which a wearer must also be aware of. It is not just worn for the sake of being a hand accessory but for a meaning.

Claddaghs feature two hands, one of a man and the other a woman, joined together supporting a single heart surmounted with a crown upon the heart. The essence of this ring is priceless, more than the most expensive diamond on this planet. It is a symbol of unending love and fidelity. Nothing can ever break that unfailing commitment. No amount of wealth or fame in the world can ever shake that unconditional love being surrendered to a loved one no matter what the cost is! The claddagh rings are emblems of love, friendship, fidelity and loyalty coated with a proud Irish heritage.

The claddagh rings are remarkable symbols of undying love, whether for a friend or for a loved one, which is symbolized by the crown which signifies loyalty or fidelity. The essence behind this symbolic piece of jewelry is popularly known through ages in the time-honored phrase: "Let love and friendship reign"! There is no other symbol of enduring commitment that can equate the meaning of this ring.

These claddagh rings are worn in many ways. With the crown and heart facing out and worn on the right hand, it tells that the wearer's heart is yet to be owned. For those who are in love, the ring is worn on the left hand with the heart and crown in the inward position. Wearing the ring on the left hand with the symbolic design facing inward only signifies that the wearer has already found the love of his or her life and that it is meant to be forever! The ring is worn on either right or left hand depending on the intention of the wearer.

Nowadays, this romantic piece of jewelry is worn as a symbol of an undying and unfading love for life. There may be some of these jewelry pieces that may be embedded with diamonds which make them more precious. A diamond certification of authenticity is likewise included for those pieces of claddagh rings.

Nuts And Bolts Of Wedding Ceremony Wording

By David Trumble

The bridesmaids line up and prepare for the start of the procession. The organ sounds and they enter individually proceeding down the aisle.

The wedding ceremony contains many traditions and formalities. While there are many variations, the wedding ceremony has many common elements. The essentials include pledges and vows. The pledges are what we call the "I dos", while the vows are the statements verbalized between the bride and groom.

The wedding party assemble at the front with the Minister in the center flanked by the Groom and his groomsmen to one side. The Maid of Honor stands with her attendants to the other side.

Finally, the music sounds again, and everyone stands to gaze upon the Bride as she enters with her Father. The Bride's Father escorts the bride to the front of the assembly where they stop. The Minister asks, "Who gives this woman to be married to this man?" The Father responds, "I do." He lifts the Bride's veil and kisses her. He takes the Bride's hand and places into the hand of the Groom as he steps back and takes his seat.

The Minister greets the wedding couple, and begins his wedding sermon. "Friends, family, and guests welcome to this sacred event. We have come to witness the joining of Groom's Name and Bride's Name in marriage. He reads from Biblical selections, poetry, or other suitable materials. He talks about the nature of marriage and the fundamental commitments between bride and groom. He stresses values of self sacrifice, giving, loyalty, and faithfulness.

Following his wedding sermon; a soloist steps forward to present a vocal solo. The special music enhances the ceremony with special emphasis on the wedding values and motivations.

The Minister asks the groom to make his commitments to God and society. He asks, "Do you in the presence of Almighty God promise to love, honor, and protect Bride's Name; to be true to her and forsaking all others to keep yourself only onto her as long as you both shall live?" To which the Groom responds, "I do".

Questions are then directed to the Bride. "Do you in the presence of Almighty God promise to love, honor, and respect Groom's Name; to be true to him and forsaking all others to keep yourself only onto him as long as you both shall live?" To which the Bride responds, "I do".

With the pledges having been affirmed, the Minister proceeds to instruct the bride and groom to turn toward each other and repeat prepare to repeat their vows to each other.

One phrase at a time is spoken by the Minister and repeated by the couple stating their promises to each other as they face one another and hold hands.

The Minister leads the Groom, "For the rest of my life, I love you and promise to always be faithful to you. I will always care for you, protect you and provide for you in plenty and in want, in good times and in bad. I now take you to be my wedded wife."

The Bride declares her vows, "Groom's Name, I love you. I give you my heart, my hopes and dreams, and my life. I promise to honor and respect you as you lead our home. I accept your love and will keep myself only for you for the rest of my life. I love you."

Ring exchanges, sand or candle ceremonies, various other presentations, and pastoral blessings are uttered leading to the declaration by the Minister, "I now pronounce you to be husband and wife." The wedding ceremony concludes with the kiss.

Choosing a Wedding Gown from Among Unusual Weddings Dresses

By Geraldine Dimarco

It is worth remembering for anyone planning to get married that weddings these days are very expensive; despite problems elsewhere, 25 billion dollars are spent each year on weddings with the average costing around 25,000 dollars. It may feel as if you must have an expensive wedding or miss out, this is not the case as huge savings can be made without sacrificing that much. Carried out properly, the majority of guests will not even realize they have attended a 'cheap wedding'. It just requires a little knowledge, imagination and clever ideas to reduce the huge amount that is spent, which should make for an exciting, memorable day without the financial pain.

Cheap Wedding Gowns

Choosing a wedding gown does not have to be costly. The huge cost of a designer wedding dress cannot always be justified these days. many bridal shops carry a large number of previously owned dresses that can be hired or bought for considerably less than new. Or if you're looking for unusual wedding dresses, try a casual wedding dress which is likely to cost a lot less than a formal wedding gown.

Reception Costs

The bulk of the budget will be swallowed up by the wedding reception; statistics show that an average of'9 guests attend so when you are planning your cheap wedding, this is where most savings take place. There is a tendency to invite everyone you have ever known or is a member of the family but this is completely unrealistic and unnecessary; if you have a buffet instead of a four course meal, waiting staff will not be required either.

The venue of the wedding reception can also be somewhere less expensive than the local golf club or hotel; using a small club for example will mean the drinks bill is less by only catering for wine, beer and soft drinks at the bar.

Wedding Photography

Although many photographers are employed for the entire day, this isn't really necessary; the majority of guests are more than happy to take photos on behalf of the couple, and they will be 'natural' shots as well! Although it may sound like an unusual idea, you always have the option to not use a professional photographer at all. There is no reason why the photos can't be taken by your guests and you will find yourself saving many hundreds if not thousands, of dollars.

Low Cost Personalized Stationary

When looking at other areas where money can be saved, do not overlook wedding stationery; invitations for example, do not have to be taken to a printer when they can be produced by anyone reasonably competent with a home computer. Many people are now competent enough to produce near professional quality work; problems and errors can be corrected quickly without regular visits to the printers. With sophisticated customization tools you'll be able to enter your own text and preview it before you print; so as not to make any costly mistakes, all from the benefit of your probably underused PC.

Flowers at the Wedding

If you want to reduce the cost of flowers, then how about this for an option - why not visit the local flower wholesaler where huge savings are possible, then all that's needed is a little imagination when it comes to the display. There is no reason why a friend or relative can't bake the wedding cake, as this will save more money plus the traditional fruit cake does not have to be used as there are many other fillings that people enjoy.

Transportation for the Wedding Day

One last money saving tip is too use the car of someone you know for the day, using this instead of a fancy limousine, you can almost guarantee they will be more than happy too.

Yes, it is possible to plan a less costly wedding without necessarily cutting back on the services, meaning that you can save money at the same time!

Wedding Ceremony Types

By Geraldine Dimarco

For those of you who do not know, a wedding is a legal ceremony that commences a union between two people; once the province of only a male/female relationship, changes to the law have made this concept obsolete in some places. Whatever the background and history to marriage, it is still a legal union between two people; the law requires that the couple sign the marriage certificate in front of witnesses before the marriage can be legally accepted. The man getting married is called the groom or bridegroom to give him his full title and the woman the bride; after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband, respectively.

Marriages in a Church

As soon as you look outside of your own race, religious and social group, the wedding tradition can become very complex. Many people, whether religious or not, still prefer to have a traditional ceremony performed by a recognized religious minister in a Church of their choice, together with traditional wedding ceremony decorations, wedding ceremony music and usually wedding ceremony readings as well.

Twin Ceremonies

A different type occasion often difficult to arrange is where two couples are married simultaneously - typically, a person with a brother or sister might plan this type of occasion with that sibling, or occasionally best friends who are planning a wedding at a similar time might opt for what is usually known as a "double wedding".

Weddings in a Foreign Country

Destination weddings are becoming more popular and many couples decide to have their wedding and honeymoon in the same place. Whether this happens for an intimate beach ceremony in the Caribbean, or extravagant nuptials in Las Vegas, it will qualify as a destination wedding. Wedding ceremony decorations and wedding ceremony music may be readily available, depending upon your wedding destination, or you may need to give those items some further thought. And wedding ceremony readings can, of course, occur anywhere - you just need to prepare them in advance, and may not have the input of your church minister, priest, rabbi, iman or celebrant. You'll need to think for yourselves!

Weddings over a Weekend

A weekend wedding is where couples and their guests celebrate over the course of a weekend. Special activities, such as spa treatments and golf tournaments, are scheduled into the itinerary for guests' enjoyment throughout the weekend. Accommodation for these is normally arranged at the place where the service is going to take place and where the other events are also being held. Wedding ceremony music, wedding ceremony decorations and wedding ceremony readings may certainly form part of a weekend wedding, just a they would with any type of wedding.

An Online Wedding Ceremony

Although unusual, you can even get married online and it will resemble a normal wedding or you can even have characters of yourselves get married. Internet companies specializing in this type of ceremony are there to help you with your marriage. You won't need to worry about weddi ceremony music, readings or wedding ceremony decorations for an online wedding. An internet or online wedding can also refer to something rather different - a situation where a couple may broadcast their marriage to friends and family in other parts of the world. In this event, it will be a physical wedding at a venue with all the usual wedding ceremony music, wedding ceremony readings, and with the venue covered in wedding ceremony decorations (if you're into that). But the entire ceremony can be seen online by your relatives and friends who are unable to attend due to distance, illness, or other reason.

Civil Wedding Ceremony

Despite the term civil wedding, most services that take place outside of a Church, wherever that may be, are civil weddings which have to be carried out by appointed or elected judges, mayors or a justice of the peace. Religion doesn't normally play a part in these ceremonies because they can be purely for the purpose of fulfilling the legal requirements. Many civil ceremonies take place in local town or city halls or courthouses in judge's chambers, in which event wedding ceremony decorations and wedding ceremony music or readings are unlikely to play a role.

Wedding Ceremony Music for Different Types of Wedding Ceremonies

By Geraldine Dimarco

For those of you who do not know, a wedding is a legal ceremony that commences a union between two people; once the province of only a male/female relationship, changes to the law have made this concept obsolete in some places. Whatever the background and history to marriage, it is still a legal union between two people; the law requires that the couple sign the marriage certificate in front of witnesses before the marriage can be legally accepted. The man getting married is called the groom or bridegroom to give him his full title and the woman the bride; after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband, respectively.

Marriages in a Church

Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. Although it may seem like the world has turned away from the Christian religion generally, it has not stopped the popularity of a Church ceremony complete with wedding ceremony music. White weddings may be quite normal for those of us that live in the United States, UK, Ireland and the Commonwealth but they are not always pracised worldwide amongst Christian faiths.

Twin Ceremonies

A different type occasion often difficult to arrange is where two couples are married simultaneously, usually called a double wedding. If twins or two sisters or two brothers happen to be considering marriage at around the same time, they may consider a double wedding, particularly if they are close. It can also save some money, of course, since many of the guests would be invited to both weddings if they occurred separately. And of course, there's only one set of wedding ceremony decorations, and wedding ceremony music to arrange (unless the couples have consecutive ceremonies rather than simultaneous, in which case the wedding ceremony music can be different).

Destination Weddings

Marriages in foreign countries are called destination weddings where guests can arrive either just before the ceremony or actually travel with the couple; it doesn't matter exactly where you travel to, whether it is in Egypt or just to Las Vegas it will still be considered a destination wedding. Wedding ceremony music can be, and usually is, a part of a destination wedding, alhtough wedding ceremony decorations may need to be used sparingly, or you may not get a choice on the types of wedding ceremony decorations you have, or perhaps you can choose a venue with the particular wedding ceremony decorations you's like (this is particularly so in places like Las Vegas, where wedding venues abound.

Weddings over a Weekend

Two day or weekend weddings are a great way to extend the ceremony and festivities as an increasing number of people are finding out. Special activities, such as spa treatments and golf tournaments, are scheduled into the itinerary for guests' enjoyment throughout the weekend. Lodging is usually at the same facility and couples often host a Sunday brunch for the weekend's finale - often the wedding ceremony itself, where all the usual wedding ceremony decorations, wedding ceremony music and even wedding ceremony readings may be present (or not, as you prefer).

Online Ceremonies

Although it has not really caught on yet, a few bold and different people have decided to tie the knot online but it may be sometime before this style of wedding really becomes more popular; internet based specialists are already available to help organize your ceremony. Marriages that are broadcast live online are also referred to as online weddings.

City Hall Marriages

Despite the term civil wedding, most services that take place outside of a Church, wherever that may be, are civil weddings which have to be carried out by appointed or elected judges, mayors or a justice of the peace. Religion doesn't normally play a part in these ceremonies because they can be purely for the purpose of fulfilling the legal requirements. Many civil ceremonies take place in local town or city halls or courthouses in judge's chambers, in which event wedding ceremony decorations and wedding ceremony music or readings are unlikely to play a role.

Acid Free Paper

Acid free paper is a principal component of wedding gown preservation. Acid free tissue paper is needed to fill the bodice of a wedding gown, and any other garment that you want to preserve, to protect them from wrinkles and creases while stored. If you need to have an archival preservation or storage it must be used. Unbuffered acid free tissue paper is the choice of most conservators,Collectibles such as Beanie Babies should also be preserved in acid free paper. Wrap them lightly in the tissue and store them in a Tyvek bag or an acid free box.

Several types of acid free paper are available. Soft, thin acid free tissue should be used. It is lignin free and contains no buffering agents. It has a pH of 7.0 Due to its softness it can also be used between the pages of color photographs, or to wrap wool and silk fabrics. It is used to cushion and pad other artifacts. Breaking and scuffing during handling and storage is prevented.

If you wish to use acid free paper to store a wedding gown you will also need an acid free preservation chest. You must first line this chest with the tissue. Stuff the sleeves of the gown using rolled up acid free paper. An acid free bust form covered with the tissue should also be used. An alternate method would be to stuff the bodice with wadded up tissue. You will then lay the gown face down in the box with much of it hanging out the sides.

Then you insert flat tissue to pad the folds and protect them from creasing. Next, you then carefully fold the train into the box while layering tissue paper into the folds and between the layers.

The next step is to place the bodice in the box and arrange it for the best look. If the sleeves or the cuffs have beading or decoration they should be placed along the waistline of the gown so it looks natural. If the train is fancy part of it should be placed so that it is visible.

In order to keep the gown from moving around in the box it will be necessary to wad up additional paper and place it between the gown and the edges of the box. You may also use muslin for this purpose. Congratulations! You have now protected your gown and you may store it safely. Tyvek wedding gown preservation bags are available if you don't want to store your gown in a box.
